My washing machine has flooded what do I do?

Washing machines are extremely useful invention. When they are running properly they can take hours of backbreaking labor of your hands and get it done in a matter of minutes but when they are running improperly they can be an absolute nightmare. Washing machine is use an incredible amount of water are especially doing them made the cycle and you definitely want that to remain within the confines of the machine itself and not spreading itself on your floor will stop how can you prevent this happening?

If your washing machine has flooded you need to act very quickly

  • Don’t leap towards the washing machine and pull the plug. The washing machine is using active electricity and with water on the floor and electricity your hand you have the perfect recipe for a painful electrocution. First thing you should do is switch off all power to the washing machine from the circuit breaker.
  • Do not press the cancel or stop button because this may cause your washing machine to drain its water and if there is a link that water is coming straight out.
  • Use mops towels and anything else you have at hand to soak up as much of the water as possible stop the more time you let the water sit there the more likely you will have a much more difficult water damage issue in the future.
  • Open windows and start a family going in the room to ventilate it.
  • Remove clothing from the wash and place them in a large bucket.
  • Your want to remove any excess water from the interior basin of the washing machine. This can be done either by hand or with a wet vacuum.
  • Check the hoses leading to and from the washing machine and if these are the problem you’ll know what you need to fix.
